My story
My name is Carmen and Lo-Kura Wine Cosmetics was born from a mixture of memories, 
scientific training, a very personal passion for the natural and the authentic and, of course, chance.
Since I was a child, wine was made in my family. I vividly remember going down to the winery with my grandfather Román, carrying a candle, and running up the stairs if it hadn't finished fermenting. The smell, the darkness, the silence. That ritual marked me forever. Somehow, wine remained etched in my memory as something magical and essential, even though I wasn't aware of it.
I studied Chemistry and had the opportunity to work for a multinational company in the pesticide industry. It was a brief but very revealing experience: there I understood the importance of questioning what we put into our environment... and on our skin. I continued working in the chemical industry for almost 20 years, but that seed had already been planted, and little by little I learned about other ways to care for my body.
The turning point came thanks to a friend who suffered from very painful cracks in her hands and couldn't get them to close with any product on the market. She asked me if I could make her a cream to help heal them ("since you're a chemist, I'm sure you know how"). And although I hadn't formulated before, since I'm very curious, I started studying, researching, and trying things out.
At that moment, my life had changed: I had studied wine and was teaching at an oenology school, so I decided to combine the properties of wine and its derivatives with cosmetics and prepared a first version of the balm. Somewhat to our surprise, within three days the cracks began to heal! That small, simple gesture made me feel useful in a different way. It was the beginning of this "lo-kura."
Then word of mouth began, and other orders from friends arrived, like the lip balm, designed to help with cold sores, and other products that have been gradually developed, always with a clear goal: to create honest cosmetics, where each ingredient has a meaning, without anything superfluous . Cosmetics for sensitive skin, for those looking for natural care without sacrificing effectiveness.

My philosophy
